The Downtown Kitchener Business Improvement Area (DKBIA) is a not for profit organization guided by a volunteer Board of Directors established for the main purpose of revitalizing the Central Business District of the City of Kitchener. We are designated as a Business Improvement Area (BIA) through the Ontario Municipal Act and a City of Kitchener by-law enacted in 1977. The DKBIA is one of the more active BIA's in the province of Ontario and has initiated and participated in many new revitalization initiatives. Read more...
Providing services to more than 550 downtown businesses and organizations, the DKBIA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors selected from the downtown business community and city council representatives. This Board of Directors has 14 members who reflect business and property owners from different geographical areas of the downtown and different business entities.
