The Kitchener Downtown Business Association (KDBA) is a not for profit organization guided by a volunteer Board of Directors established for the main purpose of revitalizing the Central Business District of the City of Kitchener.  We are desginated as a Business Improvement Area (BIA) through the Ontario Municipal Act and a City of Kitchener by-law enacted in 1977.  The KDBA is one of the more active BIA's in the province of Ontario and has initiated and participated in many new revitalization initiatives.  The role of a BIA has changed over the years since its creation in the Municipal Act and the Kitchener Downtown Business Association has been a leader in developing some of those changes.
