One of the key elements in the Downtown Kitchener Strategic Plan involves maximizing economic development opportunities by encouraging, supporting and initiating activities that attract new businesses and grow existing businesses in the downtown core.

This would include, among other things, execution of our Retail & Restaurant Attraction Strategy, conducting research that would enable and encourage businesses to locate here, providing training and networking options for existing businesses, and working closely with the City of Kitchener on various projects and issues that directly affect the overall health and prosperity of Downtown Kitchener.
