Testimony from one of 2009 Wheelbarrow contest winner:

"I just wanted to thank all of you for making the ‘Wheelbarrow Contest' such a fun event!"
"Most of the fun came from the look on people's faces as we wheeled the barrel down King St. and then into the Children's Centre. Eight women had a thrill going through the beautifully wrapped treasures and grab bags, especially from the Stag Shop!
Several of us have already worn the T-shirts and tripped down to Bobby O'Brian's.
It's been incredibly exciting sharing the wealth and re-discovering the ‘newness' of Downtown Kitchener.
I have made contact with the Staff at Habitat for Humanity and plan to donate the wheelbarrow to the residents of the Cherry Street Condominium Complex.
I look forward to using all of the gift certificates on my days off and to relish in the enjoyment of city life!
Thanks so much from the bunch of us!"
