Special Thanks from Delta Kitchener-Waterloo

On Friday, July 3rd, Delta Kitchener-Waterloo employees and City of Kitchener MPP John Milloy, made and delivered 400 sandwiches to St. John's Soup Kitchen in an effort to stop hunger for one day in the City of Kitchener.

"Delta Takes A Bite Out of Hunger Day was a great success, allowing us to help some of the 25, 000 people per year that utilize food banks in Waterloo Region," said Zubair Siddiqi, general manager at Delta Kitchener-Waterloo.  "We would like to extend a thank you to all of our partners and those who came out to support this event."

Delta Takes a Bite Out of Hunger Day marked the Waterloo Region stop on the cross-country voyage of the Delta Community Cruiser tour.  The tour is a summer-long journey that will see six selected Delta employees-Community Ambassadors-- travel across Canada to build stronger communities through various volunteer and fundraising activities.  The tour will cross Canada throughout June and July, stopping in 33 communities along the way, and made a stop in Kitchener on July 3rd.  During the 11,000 kilometre tour, the Ambassadors will participate in a range of volunteer and fundraising activities alongside local Delta employees in support of community organizations.
